The Original Grate Heater is designed for wood-burning masonry fireplace fitted with overlapping glass doors. By using this Grate Heater in conjunction with glass doors - one can obtain maximum performance from their fireplace and achieve a lower operating fuel cost.

This Grate Heater includes a concealed blower motor - this allows the natural beauty of your fireplace to remain.

With proper product care and maintenance, this Grate Heater is a safe and efficient fireplace blower insert for maximizing the heating potential of your fireplace.

All units come with a front grill bar 51 inches wide (including cuttable extender bars) by 1-3/8 inch high.

Also included is:

Thermodisc (Heat Sensor - Temperature Switch) which automatically turns the quiet 100 CFM blower motor ON / OFF.

(POWER CORD) 8 feet long.

Manufactured with heavy 12 gauge steel: solid & durable.

All electrical components are UL approved - 3 Year warranty on Grate & 1 Year warranty on electrical parts.

After installing, avoid building a roaring fire - the fan will distribute more heat to the room when fire is medium size with a consistent burn cycle. Over-firing with a raging fire can cause discoloration to any glass door unit and may damage the (Original Heat Grate) exchanger. Every Grate Heater is tested before it is packaged and shipped to you so that you can start warming up your house.

How to Size: The Original Grate Heater:

Can only be used in masonry fireplaces with a minimum front opening of 29 ½”.

Measure the fireplace width across the back and depth from the front of the face wall to the back wall of the fireplace to determine which model best suits your needs. Grate Heater dimensions need only be less than the fireplace dimensions.

All units come with a front grille 1 3/8” high and adjustable from 29 ¼” – 51” wide. If doors are to be used, they must sit on top of the front bar of the Grate Heater, which will reduce the height of the opening by 1 3/8”. You may cut the included extender bars to the width of the door if you choose for a more finished look. The Original Grate Heater has a 3 YEAR parts only warranty, from the date of purchase, on the square tubing welds and a one-year warranty on all electrical components. Units must be operated in accordance with operating instructions.
