Our GFK-160A Fireplace Blower Fan Kit is designed for Heatilator fireplace to circulate air around the firebox and enhance heat output. This complete fireplace blower kit offers a low cost solution to push heat created by the fireplace into your living space.
Included with the blower kit: Variable Speed Switch, (rheostat control - like a light dimmer) which you can regulate air flow and any air noise from the fireplace fan and Thermo Switch (Thermodisc), a Heat Sensor which automatically turns the Blower ON after the fireplace heats up and automatically turns the Blower OFF after the fireplace cools down.

Great solution for my fireplace
I installed this in my Majestic fireplace and it works great. Plugs right into the outlet and turns on automatically after a few minutes. There is plenty of speed control and I have it set pretty low. It was a tight squeeze getting it past the front plate of my fireplace as I have a surround that prevented me from removing a lower piece, but I got it to fit. Had to trim the end of the stand a little bit, but its plenty steady. Huge difference in warming the room and can't beat the price for what you get.

Heatilator Blower Kit
Was pretty simple to install, I looked at the instructions for the installation before purchasing and then looked under my fireplace to be sure it looked the same. There was an extra piece of sheet metal in the back that I had to bend down so that the fan would fit in the middle towards the back wall but other than that it was pretty straight forward. I was able to turn the fan speed control up about half way before the fan noise became louder than I wanted but it definitely helps heat the room much better than not having it at all. If you don't mind the noise then you can turn it up all the way. With my setup the fan also stays on after I turn off the fireplace until it cools down below 120 degrees so even after the fireplace is off it still blows some heat for a while. Overall I would say this was a good purchase for the price, I'm sure we will get years of use out of it, I just wish it was a little quieter so I could turn it up more but I'd still buy it again knowing what I know now. Shipping wasn't too bad, I live in California and it took about a week maybe.
